Losing two promising youngsters 09:19 - Jun 29 with 638 viewshype313

As galling as it is, isn't it part and parcel of supporting a provincial team who are perennial underdogs? I've always been proud of our history, essentially punching above our weight, it's the ups and downs of modern football.

It's not only us that lose these youngsters, Arsenal lost Chris Williock to Benfica, Barca lost Fabregas and Bellerin, it's frustrating but football is such a financial beast that you can't really stem the tide.

It's a great shame we didn't get to see these kids perform for us, but as we all know it's a business, and we are always going to be susceptible to the big clubs.

Let's hope Hurst can pull a few rabbits out of the hat to give us a fighting chance this season.

Man City lost Jadon Sancho to Dortmund and recently Bobby Duncan to Liverpool, also Harvey Neville to Man Utd.

Monaco just signed Jonathan Panzo from Chelsea and are after Callum Hudson-Odoi who is probably their best prospect.

Grays lost 16 year old first teamer Kai Brown to Ipswich in January

Charlie Brown left Ipswich for Chelsea and was behind Ben Folami and Ben Morris in pecking order and those 2 have started a game each in 2 years - whereas at Chelsea Charlie has won the Youth Cup, scored a load of goals, played all over Europe and people still think he went there for more money.

Players hold the power now, and clubs have to give them what they want or someone else will - it is what it is and we go onto the next one. A real shame though.
