I really don't envy you here, where do you sit? I sit in the lower north so if my kids want my ticket I have an excuse to say no haha | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Dilema..... on 14:35 - Jan 12 with 2796 views | textbackup | Tough one isn’t it… as ‘oldies’ we’ve waited years for massive games like this, and these kids are seeing good times weekly! (Sort of) But it’s your son… Is the seat anywhere near his mates? Or would be be on his own?

Yes, an obvious solution. That will be a big match and almost certainly sold out too.

He'd be with someone, so that's not the issue. I'll try and get a seat on my own if I can, I think....win win then.

I think he is going to go whether I go or not....really want him to 'feel' PR rocking but also to get the 'emotion' of it all...even if the worst happens.

That's the best post I've read in years. The fact a 13 yr old and his mates are going mad for it and are engaged, excited and wanting to go to games is a world away from what the kids of the last 20 years have had to endure. I've got a 17 and 13 year old, and my biggest disappointment of their time growing up is there's been nothing at all to get them interested in going to games, and they simply take the p1ss out of me as to how bad we are. "Ipswich Town Fail Club" is their usual nickname for us.

Good post. My missus' kids (12 and 9) are fully engaged with Towun now. The youngest has seen 18 goals in her last 3 home games - 6 vs Northampton in the Pizza Cup, 9 vs Aveley in the Youth Cup, and 3 vs Oxford. She thinks we're the greatest football team ever, which of course we are.
Dilema..... on 15:33 - Jan 12 with 2321 views | The_Flashing_Smile | Genuine question, not having a pop, but why didn't you buy him one when they went on sale rather than waiting till now, 2 days before, when it's sold out?

OOH. That is a tough decision. He's at an age where he'll be football daft no doubt. And you will have seen bigger and better games.

Dilema..... on 17:58 - Jan 12 with 1788 views | FrimleyBlue | Do a half each? Let him us it for the first half. Take in the pre game atmosphere and the team walk out... hey jude etc You can then soak up the 2nd half when we finish with 3 points.
