Congratulations to Nadine Dorries. 10:21 - Jul 28 with 802 viewsBlueBadger

Her resignation with immediate effect has now lasted as long as Liz Truss' tenure as Prime Minister.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

I do think that expenses and potentially wages should be taken pro rata so that MPs who don't show up are sanctioned.

As ridiculous as that horrible woman and her situation is, there is massive need for reform whilst the rate of child poverty, inflation, cost of living etc. are spiralling.

Contempt of parliament should be treated as contempt of court and the like.

She's the same as a lot of her peers. She's had no interest whatsoever in governing and now no interest in doing her job and representing her constituents - it's all about what she can get out of it for herself.

We need a massive overhaul of standards and an alternative way of holding politicians to account. It's ridiculous that she hasn't had a constituency session since 2000 - they should be required to have a certain number each month (along with other KPIs) or face deselection.

I wonder what kGB Vews would have to say were this an opposition MP working for the BBC ? Or an RMT member who had not turned up for work since 2000.

MPs should not have second jobs. Having a very rough idea of the work involved in preparing a case for court, how on earth can Tory MPs justify attending court as well as being a barrister. The latter appears only to be a useful tool to increase your earnings through access to priviliged information..

Being an MP should be a full time job. It is clear that it is not hence parasites like Dorries being able to see being an MP as her second job. A bit of bunce earned on the side.

Be fair though.

If she had a constituency session at eight last night then this afternoon is a tad early for another.
