Is we've managed to put the love of supporting Ipswich Town back into the youth contingent. We missed a generation who probably took on Man City or someone else as "Ipswich are sh1t " when talking with your mates.
If we have a solid run and keep building then we will start looking so much better for youth support and driving Norwich out of our catchment area.

I was round a mates house Saturday evening and his 13y/o son was wearing full kit. I asked him who his mates and kids at school supported and he said they were all Town with the odd Arsenal/City/Liverpool. Compare that to 5 years ago or so and it would have been the other way round.

Walking back through town after the events in the park had finished, the town was simply awash with people wearing blue and white - much, much more so than you'd usually see on a match day.

I noticed a lot of young kiddies in town shirts too, particularly Leit's adventures in the McKenna Pub. Really is lovely to see the kids lose there proverbial minds for the same reason as mum and dad. | |
