How can Blackburn be home to Barnsley and also away to Gillingham, Phil?

Dunno if this is a good draw or not! On the one hand it is almost a local derby with the likelihood of a good Town turnout (unfortunately I probably won't be able to afford it, d'oh). On the other hand, it is a banana skin with both sides in the same division and Posh wanting to prove themselves in their first season at this level .... a selection poser for Keano cos I feel he will need a pretty strong side out to win this one. Anyone else?

This is tougher than it looks. But still dooable by the the superior blue seconders. So keano v fergy. Who said this is a boring cup? There is nothing boring about confrontations of any kind (imo). But when local (ish) teams meet with big expectations and nothing less than glory is acceptable. FIREWORKS.

I think this game will be treated as any other by peterborough, and being the new boys they are going to feel they have a point to prove against a larger club. I think we're going to need a 1st team out to see this one through comfortably (although anything can happen) but thats dependent on how important the micky mouse cup is seen by RK. He might decide that risking or tiring 1st team players is beyond the benefit of progressing in a cup that it is not his aim to succeed in. We'll see how things work out, and I'll be going none the less.

I think we can win this with a similar team to those who (just about) saw off the shrews. Don't get me wrong, it'll be a tough game, but I think we should stick with the youth for this cup.

Rory .... You are shakin in your boots. Why? because you have had to endure woching other teams progressing for years. Well its our time. Our time is now and I can remember back then (bobs days) when we had been getting a few good results but then we beat the arsenal away 3-1. I thought uck whats going on and the rest is history. RK is the best chance we have got of replicating that era (sorry marcus) and I envy you for being there full of uncertain optimism (just as I was and still am).

I think i heard RK say in an interveiw that he will be using alot of youngsters throughout, regardless of how far we get and who we draw. Best way imo as its great experience for the young lads, whilst allowing the 1st team regs to concentrate on the league, because as much as we all like a cup run, the league is priority

Unfortunately i wasn't part of the sir bob era, so I'm yet to see an ipswich town player lift silverware. I'm not shaking in my boots, infact I'm quite used to watching us fall to lower league opposition in this cup. Just wondering if we're going to push our 1st team players in this or use a younger team so that we keep our 1st team sharp for the promotion race. I think we'll get the result at peterborough, we've certainly got quality in our younger ranks, and I look forward to watching them whether we make the 3rd round or not.

i expect it will be like the last game 3 or 4 with experience backing up the kids, i think its a good thing, we all learnt a few things about the kids Tuesday, and thats the only realistic way of testing them .Go with the kids Roy ,turn em into the men of Towns future 1.

I'm sure Phil will upload this bit of news soon - but as its not on TWTD yet, I just thought I'd mention, Barry Fry has branded the Ipswich tie... as rubbish!!
