Leadbitter Deal Reportedly Done
Tuesday, 1st Sep 2009 13:08

Sunderland midfielder Grant Leadbitter is reported to have completed his move to the Blues. The 23-year-old is said to have signed a three-year contract.

The joint deal involving Leadbitter and Carlos Edwards is understood to be costing the Blues £4 million after top-ups, with the England U21 international said to make up £2.6 million of that fee.

Town’s signing of Edwards is also thought to be very close to being confirmed.

Two good signings all on Sky sports as we speak. Good prices too.

And yes the Spurs official website does now list Geo as an Ipswich player for the 09/10 season.

im wondering just whats going on with the Gio thing on the spurs website, whether it be a season loan or a permanant deal this is all really exciting, are there things going on behind the scenes that we dont know about? the spurs site is their official site and not a fans site such as twtd. fingers crossed there may be something in the pipeline

I have a feeling there might be something in the Gio loan thing. As most of you will know during the closed season it was spotted that Gio was listed as a town loanee for 2009/10 on the Spurs website and then it was subsequently changed. So why would it have changed again unless he was coming? Unless of course someone on their official site is having a ploay with us!

Unfortunately perhaps someone just updated last season's position with this season's dates. But you never know
