Rosenior Loan Confirmed
Rosenior Loan Confirmed
Wednesday, 2nd Sep 2009 13:49

Town have confirmed the loan signing of Liam Rosenior for the remainder of the season.

The Reading right-back is out of contract in June 2010, so will be keen to make the move permanent if all goes well.

Rosenior, the son of ex-Fulham and West Ham player Leroy, started his career with Bristol City, moving on to Fulham for £55,000 in 2003. A loan spell at Torquay, where his father was manager, followed in 2004, and in 2007 he joined Reading for an undisclosed fee.

The 25-year-old has been a regular in the Reading side this season and has made 67 starts and two sub appearances for the Royals, but is yet to score.

Loving the fact that we still have Norris, Civelli & Peters to come back into contention. The squad is starting to take shape, whether promotion this season is achievable is still open for debate but Keane is definitely building a side that will definitely be able to challenge any team in the Championship.

Team against Middlesbrough anyone???

R.Wright
Rosenior, Bruce, Mcauley, Smith
Edwards, Leadbitter, Colback, Martin
Counago, Priskin

oooooooh my, thats a tasty looking line up with plenty of pace down the wings. A nice solid central midfield partnership and two forwards that are completly different from each other.

A left back would be handy to bring in, Bale from Tottenham anyone!

I think the central defensive partnership of Colback and Peters will reap dividends in the long-term - speed and mobility; and Balkestein + Delaney up front will rival any strike partnership in the league. My dream team....

Ipswich 1994, are you a TWAT?

What do you mean "who is Colback"? Maybe you should actually get yourself down to Portman Road & find out!!

To sum up Colback....he is twice the player of Garvan & that's all you need to know!!

When are you back at school??

in my opinion we need another centre back to partner bruce, jon walters is naturally a striker, play him there, him n priskin have the potential to be frightening, counago is ok to bring on but not to rely on getting you promoted, let this team gel this year get and next season push on to the premiership

An excellent signing. The Reading fans on another board are absolutely gutted they have let this player go - and I don't blame them. I have seen him play a few times and he's been excellent - better than the players we have at the club.

I just hope some fans will give hima couple of games to settle rather than slate him after one game!

Well done Roy. Another good signing.
