Rosenior Loan Confirmed
Rosenior Loan Confirmed
Wednesday, 2nd Sep 2009 13:49

Town have confirmed the loan signing of Liam Rosenior for the remainder of the season.

The Reading right-back is out of contract in June 2010, so will be keen to make the move permanent if all goes well.

Rosenior, the son of ex-Fulham and West Ham player Leroy, started his career with Bristol City, moving on to Fulham for £55,000 in 2003. A loan spell at Torquay, where his father was manager, followed in 2004, and in 2007 he joined Reading for an undisclosed fee.

The 25-year-old has been a regular in the Reading side this season and has made 67 starts and two sub appearances for the Royals, but is yet to score.

Deluded Numpties of the world unite! Gio will be here next week. I've said it since the day he left last season with a cheeky wink and a smile on his face!

Rosenior is a great move from Roy - I am sure these 3 signings will make a big difference. I still worry about our central defence and wonder if we have the quality needed. Strange how we started on saturday with Bruce ,McAuley , Pim and Smith all of which prefer CB . Rosenior will probably push Bruce into the middle with McAuley - Pim dropping out.
Cant leave without typing Gio a few times so here goes ;

If we sign Gio, anything less then promotion would be a failure. But where would he play? Up-front?

I cannot believe that Roy was considering letting David Wright go. He is the best full back at the club by a mile and one of our 3 or 4 best players. If Rosenior is good then David Wright should play at left back with Alex Bruce partnering Tommy or Pim in the middle until Gareth MacAuley regains the form he showed before he was injured. Has Roy fallen out with David Wright over something that the fans do not know about?
