Jamie Underwood, the man who stole shirts and other memorabilia from the statue of Sir Bobby Robson, was jailed for eight weeks by magistrates earlier today.

Underwood, 21, admitted the thefts to magistrates last month, telling the court that he was drunk at the time of the incident and couldn’t remember stealing the shirts, scarves and other memorabilia placed by the statue as tributes to the legendary Town manager in the weeks after his death.

There's a picture of him in today's Daily Mirror.

It's great how they haven't been reluctant at all to hide his identity, he won't be safe anywhere!
