Town boss Roy Keane has been named as the second wealthiest manager working in the British and Irish game in the Sunday Times Sport Rich List.

Keane’s wealth, mainly earned during his playing career with Manchester United, is estimated at £30 million, behind only England boss Fabio Capello, who is said to be worth £34 million.

Keane’s former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is in third (£24 million) and Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti (£21 million) is in fourth.

Oh dear, we have become divided as Fans both in the ground and on the forums, I am afraid that in my opinion the Ipswich Way does not work anymore, Keane has changed things beyond recongnition in teh 6/12 months he has ben allowed too, speaking with Staff and players at club not all like his style, mostly the ones that liked the "comfort zone" however the hungry and ambitious players and staff are eager for him to succeed and I quote "The best manager both motivationally and technically I have every worked under" , that is a player.... make of ity what you will, but quant little Ipswich will not achieve anything by being run by fans with a foot in the past.

By the way been a fan 40 years and follow them everywhere and I for one hopes Keane makes it, not because I am star struck but because he has purpose and ambition , probably beyond Ipswich ultimately, but is a breath of fresh air and has weeded out the free loaders and shirkers.....

Yep, I've decided to give this all a rest. It's getting tedious, even to me.

Some of us think RK is doing/has done a bad job. Some think we should wait and see others think he's God's gift to football.

Accept it and move on.

He's here next season, all we can do now is see who he buys in the summer and how we start the season. I suspect that another start like this year will see him gone. So either the doubters/haters will see him gone (which will please them) or we'll be doing well (which will please everyone).

Win, win surely!

@Bergholtblue "If I totalled all the money that I have earned over my working life I am sure that it would appear to be a considerable sum. It doesn't mean that I have got anything left."

Lol, I hear ya!

Homer 123 An opinion I can agree with 100%.
It is not a simplistic inane Keane out that I seek but a decent, intelligent Manager in.

people may / do have a go about his football management skills, but for a penniless kid from Cork he certainly knows how to look after his own money

With that personal fortune, his current wages should be taxed at 100%. Shameful that the rich gits in this country are allowed to take work away from us poor gits ....

Well said BluePG.

All you people against Evans, Clegg and Keanes era, go support Palace- No money, administration, going down. That could easily have been us until Evans bailed us out! "Old fashioned clubs" like Fulham still get £60mil for being in the premier league... Sounds very old fashioned! Dont be so bloody stupid!
