Feel sorry him. Great performer, versatile and always gave 110%

hope he has a great career, much more worthwhile than Priskin !!!

Good Luck !

Good Luck Jon. Sorry to see you go, as you've been excellent for us so far this season. Hope we manage to get Chopra now, otherwise can't really see how we're any better off ... Scotland hasn't exactly been prolific for Wigan!! Hopefully dropping down a division will help him rediscover his goalscoring touch!!

Good luck Steady! A inconsistent player but a wholehearted one who always gave his all and seemed happy here. On his day he was great for us but unfortunately it was not always his day and when he wasn't he was poor. Agree that this still leaves us short but M.E seems determind to have a much lower wagebill this season. Whether that will ultimately mean ITFC finishing lower than what we would have done had he loosened the purse strings more, time will tell

£225K? Bargain! Sorry to see you go Steady. Good luck mate; though not on Saturday and in the return obviously.

All the best, Jon. You deserve a good reception on Saturday, but hopefully that will be as good as your day gets.

I presume that the relatively small fee may have something to do with his current wages. If Stead doesn't want to take a pay cut (and how many of us actually want to, even if you were to earn over 10k a week) then Bristol will want to save on the cost of the player to pass this saving on in wages. If, as appears to be the case we needed him off the wage bill, it was determined that the loss on his percieved market valve was offset by the saving on his wages (or the net saving after the wages of his replacement!). Just a thought

I think good old Keano must have someone else in the bag already. I wouldn't be too suprised to see Mcormack or someone else follow scotland through the door. with stead gone we need a replacment.even a descent loan until conor is match fitt!

Best of luck Stead, I think that you have been one of our best strikers over the last couple of years. An un-sung hero in my opinion.

I personally think Stead was underated whilst being at town, he always gave 100% and if you ever needed him he'd be there for the team, seriously bad mistake by keane, Scotland maybe a good player but I'd still prefer Stead in the team any day of the week
