Town striker Connor Wickham is one of 11 players modelling the new England kit on the FA’s website. The England senior side will wear the new strip for the first time on Friday when they face Bulgaria in their opening Euro 2012 qualifier.

England U17 international Wickham isn’t the only non-senior player featured alongside the likes of Wayne Rooney, Theo Walcott, Adam Johnson and Joe Hart, Jade Bailey, a 14-year-old England Women’s U17, Eric Dier, a 16-year-old defender in Sporting Lisbon’s youth set-up and Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere are also part of the campaign.

Wickham, who is only a couple of weeks away from returning from his ankle injury, scored the winning goal as England won the European U17 Championships in Liechtenstein in May.

Conor is as Irish as they come and Wickham is prevlent in Wicklow/Wexford/Waterford region in Ireland. He would fit right in with Traps army! Wickham should give Ireland a serious chance, with Hourihane, Shane O'Connor, O Dea (hope he signs permanently) & Ronan Murray he would fit right in with with the boys in green in future senior international team, not to mention Delaney and Norris. Brian Murphy is also on the fringes of the squad and is seen as a pontential replacement for Given in a few years! Go on Connor Wickham JOIN THE GREEN ARMY!!!! We all know you want to!!
