Press Conference This Morning

Town have called a press conference for 11am where it is expected they will confirm Roy Keane's departure from the club, as reported overnight.

The Blues could potentially also announce Keane's replacement with Paul Jewell set to be the new man, although it may be that Ian McParland or one of the other backroom staff will be in charge in the interim.

Moisha

I wonder how long you will give him your support

The problems at this club are the people supporting it - disgrace

Always liked the guy, didn't expect him to be front runner for us though. I'm prepared to get behind him, at least it's a chance for a shake up, and hopefully get back to playing entertaining football again.

I liked Keane, but certainly this season his decisions have been crazy. I never booed him or wanted him to fail, but could see it was time for a change and glad we have made the step. Maybe Jewell can get some new blood in too, Keane might have been scaring some people off (you never know).

Good luck Jewell (if you our new manager), and come on you blues!

readtheleaguetable - I have now read both your comments on these related articles and cannot agree more with you! Be careful what you wish for summed it up for me - some people really do think the grass is always greener!!

Yes our current squad and position is unacceptable, but (to use yet another metaphor) we could be out of the frying pan and into the fire unless we employ a TOP manager.

I hope we don't reflect upon this day in the spring.....

Brilliantly put BluePhilG.

I for one have wanted Keane out for quite a long time, he never looked like he knew what he was doing to me. That doesn't mean I felt the need to show hatred towards him though, I actually liked the guy, thought his honesty and humour were refreshing. Shame he didn't suceed.

Clegg won't confirm that Jewell is going to be Keanes successor.
Sky Sports and the bookies might be barking up the wrong tree.
Clegg states that Ipswich are in talks with a number of potential candidates
Interesting times ahead

just remember Sky and the bookies had England favourite to win the 2018 world cup, then looked what happened. I'd be happy with Jewell, but to be honest even Anne Diamond could've done a better job than Keane.

The truth,

What the hell is your problem with Moisha? They are publicly stating support for Paul Jewell and you shoot them down in flames? I would suggest the real problems with ITFC supporters are people like you who seek to be divisive at EVERY opportunity.

For the record, I would like to see Jewell here. Yes, he had a woeful run with a crap Derby team who probably shouldn't have been up there in the first place, but I remember him getting Wigan playing EXACTLY the type of attacking, flowing football that people want to see at PR.
