Dyer Set for QPR
Dyer Set for QPR
Tuesday, 12th Jul 2011 20:39

Former Blue Kieron Dyer is believed to be on the verge of a move to QPR. We understand that the 32-year-old has spoken with Neil Warnock’s newly-promoted club, while some sources are claiming a play-to-be-paid type deal has already been agreed.

Dyer was on Blues boss Paul Jewell’s summer wish list towards the end of last season despite his injury hit loan spell at Portman Road, but lately the Town manager’s interest has cooled.

The former England international was released by West Ham at the end of 2010/11 but started pre-season training with his old club.

along with Titus, Dyer has my admiration, of all the very rich ex-town players they are the only ones to put a few bob back into the youth system

whilst i love dyer, dont think us signing him will really bring ultimate affect other than bring a beloved old boy back. he wont get us promoted and we need to look at younger hungrier players. koumas would be perfect and i know people will laugh at this, but i think its his last chance to do anything and he can unlock defenses like its going out of fashion!

Everybody's comments more or less cover my sentiments about Mr. Dyer. Thanks for the good times and for sponsering our youth games.

Pay-as-you-play would make him an asset wherever he goes, I would be happy to see him here on those terms. Not the end of the world if we miss out, but it's a shame if he goes to QPR on those terms rather than here.

Tractorroy - great comment - yep Dyer and Titus have been great supporters of Acad, Shame about KD - just never really fullfilled the great potential - bad luck with injuries - Probably a good deal for QPR but we be ok without him . Good Luck to yer - we have our own great new crop of youngsters coming through - Murray, Carson,Lavery , Ainsley , Whight - They are the future and with PJ signings watch us go!!

I can't believe there are people on here slagging Dyer.

He has always been Town through and through, he was arguably the best player we have had since the Robson era, has continued to support the club via sponsership and one of only two players born nearer PR than me (that I know of!).

A true Blue.

good luck to him, i doubt he will be a regular player due to fitness, did well for us early in his carreer but dont think a return here would have been a good thing .

Good luck Dyer!

I would love to see him fit for a whole season and prove what a great he should have been.

He has had a hellish time with injuries, which is not his fault.

I have very fond memories of KD as a Town player and wish him the best. I so think that he isn't what we need now though.

Double good news as it may mean that QPR are less likely to want Bullard now so we might be in with a shout of a loan deal.
