Ingimarsson Breaks Nose
Ingimarsson Breaks Nose
Thursday, 8th Dec 2011 13:27

Icelandic defender Ívar Ingimarsson has been ruled out of Saturday’s live Sky game at Barnsley after breaking his nose in training (KO 5.20pm). Town boss Paul Jewell is still waiting on skipper Grant Leadbitter, who has returned to training after a groin injury.

Jewell said: “Ívar Ingimarsson broke his nose in training on Monday, Cody Cropper came out and caught him a cropper and he looks like he’s been 12 rounds with Mike Tyson. He had it reset on yesterday and he was in this morning with two black eyes.

“Grant’s trained this morning, whether he’ll be fit enough for the weekend, I don’t know. We’ve still got Richard Wright out with his shoulder injury and Damien Delaney is making good progress with his foot injury.”

David Stockdale and Ibrahima Sonko came through last week’s game against Watford without a problem.

Jewell revealed that midfielder Jamie Griffiths, who was on loan at Plymouth earlier in the season, is currently training with Colchester United with his Town contract up at the end of the month.

This act in itself should guarantee Cody a place in the team for the weekend.

It's time to bring in the 17 yo's and build on talent with say 30% experience for next year. We are going nowhere with ex-Premier journeymen who will always play at least 20% down in terms of commitment. And another 20% down in terms of injury. And yet another 70% wasted on salary..
They are NOT effective financially or in building a team.

Just read on the BBC local website that PJ is now asking fans for more patience.

He said that he thinks he has tried to change things too quickly. Hold on a minute, when he took this job he said he was going to take his time as at Derby he changed things too quickly. Just look back at his opening press conferences and comments.

So he is now telling us he has done here what he did at Derby.

Also says that he is building for future and takes team to gel as he is looking at players for 3 to 4 years time.

We are in a right old mess cos 75% of his current team won't be here next season. Think he has lost the plot. Am sure twtd will report this soon.

Really worried for Saturday. Barnsley have won 4 on the bounce scoring 10 goals and won 5 out of last 6. Going to be a real test of what this team and PJ are made of.
