Town coach Sean McCarthy was at Charlton’s 3-0 victory over Yeovil at the Valley last night as the Blues’ management team cast their eyes over potential summer signings. As reported yesterday, manager Paul Jewell took in Huddersfield’s 2-0 away win at Chesterfield’s B2Net Stadium.

League One leaders Charlton’s squad is full of players with Championship experience, such as striker Bradley Wright-Phillips and loanee from Millwall Dany N’Guessan, a player the Blues were linked with during his time at Lincoln.

Yeovil’s squad is less familiar, aside from ex-Blues Gavin Williams and Ed Upson, although striker or winger Andy Williams has notably scored 15 goals this season.

He's obviously been checking out the quality of the Portman Road pies once too often this season!

I'm certain all the scouts were watching Andy Williams as they were telling him "I can't take my eyes off you" afterwards. <Comedy Trombone>

The signing of Andy Williams is the 'impossible dream'.

Living in Yeovil, the only one I can think they were looking at is Luke Ayling. Right back who's out of contract this summer. 21 years old.

But he has been a bit pants lately...

Andy Williams has been pretty decent this year but league 1 is probably his level.

As long as we don't get any ideas about Charlton's keeper Hamer. We need a keeper but not that badly.
