The highest priorities are Bart signing a new contract and offering Waghorn an improved deal. Evans needs to pull his finger out and get this done. We have some potentially good players, and we will sign players who may turn out to be good players but at this point in time, we only have 2 good players and if they both go, we are in big trouble.
They get a centre-back who is 5 years younger +£2m and show that they are a bigger club than us whilst Evans banks the £5m. Time will tell whether any of that goes into the transfer kitty above what is already available, but i don't see any £3m centre-backs driving up the A12. Let's hope Paul Hurst has the skills of Paul Daniels to get us out of this division at the right end.
the last manager was overachieving and we should be careful what we wish for, yet the requirement for the new manager is to maintain that level AND totally outstrip it by gaining promotion AND play a brand of exciting football AND it appears, achieve this with no previous management experience judging by the candidates alleged to be in line
make you wonder how much experience our youth have missed out on because McCarthy only ever plays them unless all the older players injured. There's no way Cotter would have started last night until Chambers and Webster were injured, and had they not been, he would never have got that confidence-building match under his belt
that's bigger than the winner or largest party of the last 3 elections (Blair 2005, Cameron 2010, Cameron 2015) and half a percent lower than Blair 2001.
truly astounding considering half his own party has been plotting against him for the past year..
what about the respect for the integrity of the FA Cup? what about the respect of the integrity of the premier league when he made 10 changes at old trafford in december 2009 to prioritise games and received a punishment for it? what a hypocrite.
The amount of people who bought this ticket for the price of a small round of drinks and registered a child who would never set foot in the ground to allow them to sit with another adult (who likewise purchased a child ticket) in the family enclosure I would assume is quite a significant number.
we are currently occupying the position (on goal difference) that would be our equal worst finish in 58 years. plenty of points still to be attained of course, but isn't Mick McCarthy doing a great job?
and because that's what we are constantly being told, you cannot possibly tell if that's sarcastic or not!
