Edwards Signs New Deal Friday, 30th Mar 2012 15:14 Skipper Carlos Edwards has signed the new one-year contract he recently agreed with the Blues. The new terms include an option for a further season. The 33-year-old, whose current deal was up at the end of June, told the club site: "I'm delighted to be staying here. My family are happy here and this is where I want to see my children grow up. "I had a word with the manager and the chief executive [Simon Clegg] and told them I would like to stay and then it was just a case of thrashing out a deal. "Throughout my 13 or so years in English football, I've been moving up and down all over the country. I've reached a stage in my career now where I feel settled and I want to stay put. "Everything is all done and dusted. I've signed the contract and I'm delighted to be staying at Ipswich. It feels like home."
