No shock. Although there has been some Twitter talk that he's not keen on joining Leeds even though Pearce signed form them.

Still see this as 50/50.

This isn't looking good. Hope to be proved wrong - but suspect other clubs will have the upper hand on us. I am sure PJ has a Plan B though.

So basically he's waiting to see if Blackpool are promoted then.

I'd have thought Blackpool may be a little bit busy over the weekend to hold transfer talks with anyone?!

Clegg will probably encourage him to go to Blackpool knowing his negotiation skills...

We only want players that want to wear the shirt like Stevenson not money grabbers I'd pull out of the deal he's had since jan to decide . Let's move on

I'm going to join a team that finished 15th, pay low wages, has only got half a first team at present, can't get any of the other players they are hoping to sign and whoose manager has gone on holiday.

agree with slippery - he's had long enough if he really wanted to come here , we only want people commited to the club ......pull out now and don't waste any more time with him , he won't come anyway

I'm not sure that I want him here to be honest, it seems that he is being completely mercinary and now has 6 teams waiting on him, the lord Ward, to make his decision. I'm sure there is better out there who want to wear a teams shirt with pride and to play for that club and not its pay packet. Hope we have many more irons in the fire.

If Blackpool win tomorrow guess where he ends up then!

Yawn - is there anyone not in for him? The club that signs him is the one that pays the best wages. That's generally the only thing that matters. Blackpool if they're promoted.

he would be an idiot if he signed for us.

Walberswick - why do you keep going on about Jewell being on holiday? He has already met Ward and shown him around; it's now just down to the player to decide.

Anyway, there's this marvellous invention nowadays called a mobile phone which means you can still contact people when you are away. Brilliant really.....

If Blackpool get promoted he will surely go there, if it's bout money he will go 2 Leeds if he's looking 4 a club in the championship looking too challenge next season then it could b any1 we haven't challenged 4 promotion since dropping out of the premier league but we have the best training ground excellent facilities n a good record of improving younger players. Still can't see it if Sheff Utd fail in the playoffs I'd rather see Lowton

I really hope he signs for us, he is a quality and importantly versatile player. I completely understand him taking his time, he has after all put up with a lot at Pompey this season but stayed loyal to his hometown club until the end and I'm sure would rather not be leaving. It is his right to ensure he gets the best deal and according to Pompey sources Blackpool promoted or not look least likely, I'd expect him either at Leeds with his mate Pearce or at Portman Road

Sam old, same old....... Clegg's too worried about Guam to fuss over signing a player or two. The club has very limited appeal at the moment and this will continue until new blood is brought into the management areas. They would be better buying and selling car spares.

“I'm speaking to agents every day and I'm pushing to get deals over the line. It's a long summer but it's so important to keep things moving.” N Warrnock.

why should he be commited to this club??? he aint signed yet!!

BluJu added 14:19 - May 18
exactly bedsit - of course he's going to be "mercenary" about it - he's going to make a decision based on what is good for him. He'd be a fool not to. He currently holds no allegiance to any club other than presumably Portsmouth.

"I'm sorry, Premiership bound Blackpool, not even the lure of top flight football can keep me away from Ipswich, they need me..."

Maybe he'll come on here and see what a bunch of unrealistic whingers we are, and look elsewhere...

I may be wrong, but it does appear that this guy is having talks every week and saying, well these are going to give me this, what will you offer. Of course, I could be entirely wrong - let's hope so.
