Reserves Thrash Tottenham
Tuesday, 4th Dec 2012 15:06

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas scored twice and Bilel Mohsni, Cormac Burke and Ronan Murray once each as a Town second string side thrashed Tottenham 5-1 in a friendly at Spurs Lodge this afternoon.

Town were a goal in front through Mohsni at the break against a Tottenham side including Scott Parker, who was playing his first game after an Achilles' injury, and former Blues loanee Massimo Luongo.

Also in the Blues line-up were Scott Loach, Elliott Hewitt, Kelly Youga, Ronan Murray and Josh Carson.

Boss Mick McCarthy, who announced his intention to organise some reserves friendlies with the U21s without a game until the new year, was amongst those watching the match.

...... not a bad 'Reserve' side hey - things are really beginning to look much better at the Club.
Mohsni is one we must keep at the Club - such a versatile player.

MICK must have had a busy day if he watched the reserves, and then saw the youngsters at Bristol ??? 2 wins in one day Hey ???Next we must get a result against Milwall on sat!!!
There is one thing I noticed about Mick he never mentions about talking to Marcus Evans, he seems to me to be his own man !!! where as Jewellio was saying every other day he was talking to M.E. about something,, wether or not he was after some sort of guidance from him one never knows ??????

That's actually really impressive. That Spurs side was by no means weak.

Mick must be a very happy man at the moment with the first team doing well and the reserves up for it to now.
We have Mick with his magic and getting the players all wanting to get in the first team and Terry working his nuts off getting the players fit on the training field.
If this continue the fans will flock back to Portman Road and cheer the Town on like they use to.
I see exciting times ahead with these two great men looking after us and the only way is up from now on and city watch your backs because we are coming up right behind you thats assuming you stay in the premiur league if not we may just over take you and claim our rightful place back as number one team in east anglia again.
