Kourouma Leaves Town
Friday, 21st Dec 2012 17:27

Town have announced that French-Guinean midfielder Cheick Kourouma has left the club by mutual consent. Kourouma, 20, signed a one-year deal in the summer after a protracted battle to cut through extensive red tape relating to his previous clubs.

Kourouma appeared for the Blues in friendlies and in the U21s, but failed to make the first team squad.

Chief executive Simon Clegg said: “We wish Cheick every success for the future."

You gotta feel sorry for the kid, worked hard and obviously wanted to come here, however I trust MM's judgement and he is obviously a 'make way' in terms of wages for someone coming in.

Good Luck Cheick don't take any notice of some of the feck-wit comments on here!

He did all the running around making phone calls and travelling. It wasn't really that much hassle for the club. He played a few friendlies and trained with the squad and now he has left. If it wasn't reported no-one would even care. Good luck to him, but maybe he should try something else.

Did the guy ever really join in the first place?

Marcus Evans has had some VERY poor decision makers working for him since he took over - he should be able to rely on Managers to make decent decisions on players ability / suitability - this seems to be yet another example of just that.

PJ - What are / were you like ??? - and the weird thing is SOME supporters could see no wrong in what he did.

All a bit of a farce really after all the soap opera of trying to get him in all summer.

I notice MM mentioned in his post match that he just wasnt good enough.

I wonder how many more of the current squad he has a simular view on?

He put a lot of effort into wanting to join us which was commendable. Hope it works out for him elsewhere (but if he turns out to be decent that the 'elsewhere' is far away from the championship!).
