Coventry Target Scotland Thursday, 24th Jan 2013 09:05 Released Blues striker Jason Scotland is in talks with League One Coventry City about a move to the Ricoh Arena. Scotland's Town contract was settled by mutual consent at the weekend.
If he joins the Sky Blues, the 33-year-old would be filling the shoes of new Town signing David McGoldrick, who scored 17 goals in 26 games during a loan spell there from Nottingham Forest before Christmas.
Doncaster and Wolves were previously understood to be the frontrunners for the Trinidadian's signature, while Barnsley, Brighton and Preston had been monitoring his situation. Scottish reports have also linked Dundee.

Yes good luck in the future Jason wherever you finish up playing.Would have rather seen Flopra's contract terminated but that was not going to happen due to the fact that he owes the club money from the loans lent to him.

Looks like there is a lot of interest in him which is good to see, think Coventry would be a good move for him.

I echo the messages of good luck to Jason. I've met him and he is an absolute gent. Ok it didn't work out spectacularly at Portman Road but his enthusiasm about the game tells a story and I'm sure there is still a future in the Jason Scotland football walk of life.

So we take their McGoldrick and they take our Scotland? Would rather it be the other way round.

Didn't think he would be without a club for long;but with so many reported interested parties still dont understand why couldn't leave him on list until window closed and then settle contract if no takers by then.

Hope they do take him on he deserves it and I think he was a little unlucky not to get a few more games earlier in the season. Best of luck Jason.

Think we could regret this one, offers something different from the bench and a great 'hold up' player. Big strong and has a good finish on him!
