Fog Clears

Milan is now largely free from fog and unless there is a big change in the weather tonight's game looks to be going ahead as planned.

This morning saw a thin mist but this has lifted and Milan is now bathed in Autumn sunshine. Not overly warm, but none to bad for early December.

Some supporters leaving London were subject to delays, some on the official trips without explanation. Most have now arrived and have been convoyed from Malpensa Airport in coaches. Many are now in the Piazza del Duomo while many others are making an early pilgrimage to the San Siro.

Meanwhile Tony Mowbray has warned that the Newcastle game on Sunday is the more important of the two: "Tonight's is a massive match for everybody connected with Ipswich Town and nobody can say that we have not earned the right to be here.

"To play in such a magnificent stadium against world class opponents is what we all dream about and we are confident we can get the right result.

"But if we are realistic we have to look at the Newcastle game at Portman Road on Sunday as being the more important fixture.

"The Premiership is where we are and where we enjoy being and it is vital that we obtain enough points — starting with Newcastle — in our remaining fixtures to see us climb above the relegation zone."
