St Johnstone Midfielder Linked
Tuesday, 14th May 2013 11:58

St Johnstone midfielder Murray Davidson is on the Blues’ radar, according to a report in the Scottish press. Rumours that the 25-year-old, who is out of contract this summer, could be a Town target have been circulating online for the last week, although the claims appeared to originate from not overly convincing sources.

Edinburgh-born Davidson started his senior career with Livingston where he made his senior debut in March 2008 when he achieved the notable feat of picking up red cards in both his first two games.

He moved on to St Johnstone in the summer of 2009 and since then has made 139 starts and eight sub appearances, scoring 20 goals.

In November last year Davidson added his first senior Scotland cap to his single U21 appearance.

Hes a quality player! One of the main reasons for St Johnstone having such a great season, and inexpensive. What is there to lose? Add Judge and Tabb as well and the whole midfield will be sorted early doors!

2 red cards in two games. . . Well I suppose we need a replacement Forest Martin!!

Where about in midfield is he? Central, defensive, attacking, winger?!

He's a central midfielder who scores about five goals/season

you can't judge anyones ability when they have been playing in the Scottish league

Blueginger - have you see him play or got close sources? Not doubting you but you seem pretty definite in your affermation of a player most will not have heard off.

Vic watched a bit of him on the SPL...a highly-rated player who was chased by Rangers a couple of years ago. Reminds me of the Andy King sort of CM, slightly more forward, but can make a tackle if needed.

Agree with Francis
The SPL quality is so poor that players like Ryan Stevenson and Rory Fallon look good playing in it

Stevenson is a decent player when given a run of games, but he's not exactly setting the SPL alight. You've just shown how little you know about football with your Rory Fallon comment though. He scored 3 league goals in total for Aberdeen and has just been released.
