Mills to Receive Honorary Doctorate
Tuesday, 22nd Oct 2013 15:44

Legendary Blues skipper Mick Mills will receive an honorary doctorate from University Campus Suffolk at a graduation ceremony on Thursday.

The university’s website pays tribute to Town's all-time highest appearance maker and the man who held aloft both the FA and UEFA Cups: “No player has been more influential in the famous blue and white of Ipswich Town than Mick Mills — and not just because his 741 appearances is a club record that is likely to stand for many years and may never be broken.”

Also amongst those receiving honorary doctorates from UCS this year is former Zimbabwean test cricketer Henry Olonga, while Paralympics powerlifting bronze medallist Zoe Newson will be presented with an honorary fellowship.

Bluefest. Why do you feel the need to slag off a great club servant? He may not excite you but I think most on here prefer his views to yours

@bluefeast. You only say that because your too stupid to understand a man that really knows tactics. Since you're not intelligent enough to get pass hoof ball as a tactic I'm not surprised you find the great man boring. I swear some of our supporters make the budgies seem intelligent .

If you listened to Mick Mills comments after the Burnley game he like i'm sure the majority of us would have put more attacking subs on to try and get back in the match instead of appearing to hold out for a 1-0 defeat.
Frank Nouble has a long way to go i'm afraid before he can compete at this level.

An Honorary Doctorate is a great achievement, and well deserved in this case. Many congratulations, Mick.

Think Mick Mills is brilliant on Suffolk - doesn't mean he should ever be our manager though!

Seriously, this is well deserved ... well done.
