Nouble Misses Trip
Tuesday, 11th Mar 2014 13:55

Town have confirmed that striker Frank Nouble missed the trip to Yeovil with a hamstring injury.

Nouble, 22, was forced off in the recent 1-0 home victory over Birmingham and felt the problem again after Saturday's long trip back from Middlesbrough.

The former England U19 international's absence means manager Mick McCarthy will be forced into at least one change of personnel, although he was planning to shuffle his pack for the visit to Huish Park in any case.

Midfielder Anthony Wordsworth was ruled out yesterday with a back problem and 17-year-old second-year scholar Teddy Bishop again travelled.

Is Wordsworth ever fit? He seems to pick up more than his fair share of injuries

well lets start with blake and murph and hopefully taylor, although i recon it will be taylor and murphy upfront.

but we must start with hunt or williams, hyam, scuse and ando in the middle of the park, and may be richardson at rb , well you never know, just take the game to them and close them down,

Richardson at RB deffo
Put Chambers and Smith/Berra in middle
I would love to see Mings and Cresswell on the left
Will never happen though

Never like to hear a town player's injured but thank goodness MCC can't pick Nouble today. After saturdays inept performance, there needs to be changes in both players and attitudes/work rate if they're to get anything at Yeovil whose recent form has been better than ours. Would be nice to see us score some quality goals for a change. Come on you blues.

Im not sure what all the fuss is about re Taylor ,fact is against QPR he put in a good shift , but if had half a football brain would of passed to a team mate on 3 separate occasions and we might well of scored. Next there is his selfish head down playground style of play , make a pass taylor and you would be 10 times the player witnessed so far. Then at the weekend he misses the target when a football brain would of made sure the target was hit. He has potential ,but is way off the hype generated about him imo.

We will miss Noubles dirty work ,the closing down and direct running . The lad gets a hard time for the obvious lack of qualities but no praise for what he does for the team currently.

Could'nt agree more. Taylor's a decent player but by no means the "Messiah"
On pointing this out after the Middlesborough game I got my arse ripped off.
Team selection will be interesting tonight, as will the performance of some individuals.

We need a performance from all selected. A strong message to send will be dropping Chambers who whilst i rate as a centre half has probably been the most exposed right back in the league and targeted by every opposition team. MM has been over loyal on that one and Chambers needs a break.

Best news have heard all day! And before the down arrow gang get going I have nothing personally against Frank Nouble, Just he is a terrible footballer and not good enough for this level. In fact he wouldn't look out of place on a Sunday morning. Anyone who knows anything about football will realise this.

I hope we start with SEB, although we have few options! Small squad could prove our downfall.

Wordsworth spends most f his time injured or ill. Can't see him asking it at ITFC. Colchester fans always said he was injury prone. Sadly, they appear to be right.

Chambo does'nt need dropping, he needs playing in his natural position along side Smith where he hardly put a foot wrong. I thimk Berra could easily move to a defensive midfield roll then put a right back in the right back position. Not mahy brain cells required to work that one out.

With the fact Yeovil will play 4-4-2 tonight we will line up the same with Taylor and Murph being the strikers, he won't play 3 as we would then we wouldn't have any strikers on the bench. Myself as well as many other fans all have their ideal teams but I think he will mostly line up with tonight having said he's making changes.

Gerken
Richardson,Berra, Smith, Cresswell
Green, Hyam, Skuse, Williams,
Taylor, Murph

Bluefeast - the one MM has been too loyal to was Christophe Berra, Chambo and Tommy Smith should be the centre back pairing after how well they did last year and Berra should have only played here and there, I would rather have Smith and Chambers together and Carlos Edwards at full back than asking Chambers to do a job he simply is not cut out for. Square pegs and all that....
