Bru, Bishop and Berra Set to Return
Friday, 5th Dec 2014 11:41

Town boss Mick McCarthy hopes to have midfielders Kevin Bru and Teddy Bishop available for Saturday’s home game against Leeds United, while Christophe Berra will be back from his one-match ban.

Bru missed the trip to Charlton with an ankle ligament injury sustained at Bournemouth the previous week, while Bishop was suffering from a hip flexor problem.

Central defender Berra missed the visit to the Valley having reached five bookings for the season with the Blues back four keeping a clean sheet in his absence.

“That does give me a selection headache but they are the problems I like!” McCarthy admitted to the club site.

Great news. 3 very good players makes it very interesting to see what MM does. Have 100% faith in Mick to select the correct team to get 3 points.

Bru has to be back in as do Berra in my opinion Bishop to join the fray just after half time probably depending how the game is going for us praying for another three points from this one to keep the momentum going.

Good to have them back! Back 4 of Mings, Smith, Berra and Chambers for this one i feel. Hard on Parr, really rate him, but strenght and solidity needed. Agree with battyblue that Bru has to come back in, either for Hunt or Anderson with the pther joining Didz and Murpf in a front 3. Bish from the bench.

Good news! - looks like Hyam is still injured, we certainly need a play maker option in our midfield as this seemed to be lacking on Saturday.

Tricky for Micky!
Skuse seems to think he is a fixture,as he says the Manager always brings him back in the team after he's been out.Lets hope Mick leaves him out as dont want him and Luke together!
Kevin Bru is a must as feel he has been one of our best players when played.
At the back MM admits he has a problem on who to leave out,I should think bearing in mind they attack with width which Chambo hasn't been happy with in the past, that he would be left in the middle which would hard on Tommy of course.
But as usual Mr Mc Carthy picks the team who has done pretty well up to now;but it would be nice to beat Leeds just to put one over on their cocky fans!

Bru, Bishop and Berra.

Isn't it nice... that we can win a game against a really tough-to-beat side... and then bring Bru, Bishop and Berra back into the team.

We're not far away from beating our rivals with our second string... :)

Put it this way, whoever makes the starting 11, we're going to have a really strong bench again, with plenty of potential to change the game if necessary.
