Fans on here who want MM out need to be careful what they wish for. Perhaps they can tell us who will do a better job with little or no money and with the current crop of players on the books. MM has massively over achieved at this Club on a shoestring budget and yet some supporters just can't see it.

Mark Warburton must be a superb manager, that's why Brentford are moving heaven and earth to keep him. Oh....

MM has done an amazing job picking us up from bottom to as high as 2nd!
Yes the last couple of months have been hard and there is a chance we may finish outside the play offs - but once again we have improved with no money (very little money).
We've had some terrific injuries right at the wrong time again and some serious bad luck!
I wouldn't mind hedging my bets that if we do not go up this year that we might be given some money to spend next year!

Those supporters who don't see it with Mick must have loved the glory days under Keane and Jewell.
I can live with people bemoaning styles and team selection - it's all about opinions.
But I can't understand those who say we'd be better off without him. As someone said, be careful what you wish for.
Mick has his faults but he has got us moving in the right direction and if we don't win promotion this season, he'll have us in the mix next year.
When did that last happen? Remember, Royle had money until the end of his reign.
People criticise the football we play - I agree it isn't always pretty. But was it any better after Royle.
Magilton tried to play more football but when that didn't work we just lumped diagonal balls to Walters.
Keane played four central midfielders and was even more narrow than Mick.
And Jewell was defensively clueless and we still sent high balls to strikers - only this time it was to Chopra who could barely jump.
Whatever you think, you can't deny McCarthy has made progress with the team and I believe there's more to come.
When I read comments on this site or twitter like 'I can hardly bear to go any more', I can't help but think these are people who have already stopped going or have only just begun attending again.
Yet I'm sure those will be the first to demand a playoff final ticket should we make it.
Things aren't perfect right now but changing the manager would be a huge mistake.

Would not think that it is anything to do with Marcus Evans because if this story is true and if Fulham meet the compensation clause as written in Mick's contract the decision on whether to go or not would be up to MM and nobody else.
Imagine if he went he would want to take TC with him so does Fulham approach(if it exists) include TC?

If the approach turns out to be fact the only person that can decide what happens is MM.

I think we'd be daft to get shot of Mick..yeah the football is poor at times but he does more often than not get teams up near the top (at this level)..fans can accept poor football when you're winning,it's the poor football + poor results that gets peoples backs up.

Let's be careful what we wish for - in an ideal world we'd have a Burley/Magilton/Holland combo back here running things and playing attractive football again but I don't think our blinkered owner can see past the appointing of managers who've got a track record of getting teams promoted in the past (oh yeah,Burley did,remember?!).

I understand the frustration shown by fans but there is little Mick can do without any money. Ipswich desperately need goals from midfield so im hoping the Marcus dips into his pocket over the summer if he is serious about the club. I personally think he wanted us to go up this season and then sell the club on as a profit. Without play makers and goal scorers from midfield we wont get into the play offs. Look at the sides above us, they are all scoring goals from midfield, the long ball has little affect in the championship.

No Fulham.... Keep your link and your money. Althought McCarthy has done wonders here (as others had stated) I can see the appeal. But lets keep the faith, this season is not over yet!

Understand that but presumably we can only afford those wages because we haven't shelled out on fees.
If we had to pay transfer fees, we would have to sacrifice some of the wage budget - unless Evans dipped into his pocket more, which he won't.
Either way, we can't afford the Callum Wilsons of the division and it's that kind of quality that we're lacking.

You are just an example of some of the fickle, stupid fans that are at this club. Albeit, they are a small minority. You clearly have no appreciation for what McCarthy has achieved at this club. Should I remind you how AWFUL we were when McCarthy took over, rooted to the bottom of this division with a measly 7 points from 13 games? We were hopeless, goners and he came in and saved our skins. Now we're on the cusps of the play-off's.

What myth? We say Mick has spent very little money on transfer fees which he has. I admit though, maybe if we showed a bit of respect and didn't boo our own team off no matter how bad at Huddersfield Mick's decision to stay may be easier. Though, I doubt he'll be tempted by obscene money.

I also think some of our better players have come here because of McCarthy himself.

If he were to go, I can see us going into freefall.

I am very much a Mick McCarthy fan for how he has achieved so much with so little.
Sure, I have on occasions been critical but that is usually just out of frustration in the heat of the moment.
He has done really well and along with TC I see a good future as long as the financial backing arrives soon from our owner.
If it doesn't then this reported Fulham link could have some mileage in it!

Well the Fulham owner is probably used to American football so prefers to see a physical game with the ball flying through the air instead of along the ground. On that basis Mick would be ideal for them!!

We can but hope .... compensation from another club for a manager that needs to be sacked anyway.

Let him go, I know loads of Sunday league managers who can tell them to play hoof ball for 90 minutes, can tell the media how amazing the sides we are about the play are and I reckon they'd probably only want a beer and a burger after the game
