Not at all impressed with Bart again last night. When he first arrived here he took crosses and made excellent saves. Now he looks very shaky does not come for crosses and his kicking is average. Thank goodness our defence was better last night. For me this scenario is a worrying trend as we had Loach a so called million pound goalkeeper at one stage, who quickly went backwards whilst here. Gerken started off impressively but now hesitates for crosses and his kicking has not improved. This begs the question how good is our goalkeeping coach after all what else does he have to do but improve our goalkeepers ?
I think it is fair to say we are going for 6th spot only now and looking at our target of overtaking Brentford their fixture list compared to ours looks very tasty. Cardiff (H) Blackburn (A) Millwall (H) Fulham (A) Forest (H) Derby (A) Sheff Wed (A) Bolton (H) Reading (A) Wigan (H) The Forest and Derby fixtures could be pivotel for our hopes. On the last day of the season of the top 8 teams, only Ipswich and Bournemouth are away. Of course you never know in football and no game in our division is easy but it will take a massive change of form for us to make 6th now - here is hoping.
My goodness if you think we have problems just read some of their comments. To think that some of our fans wanted Holloway as Manager. As I have stated elsewhere on this site be careful what you wish for. MM has done a fantastic job and is still building from the academy upwards.
