Two Saturday Play-Offs If Blues Face Norwich
Saturday, 18th Apr 2015 09:06

The Football League have confirmed that both play-off semi-final games would be Saturday lunchtime kick-offs if the Blues meet Norwich City.

Currently the third-against-sixth first leg - which the team in sixth would host - is scheduled for Friday 8th May (KO 7.45pm) but should Town finish sixth and the Canaries third, the match will revert to Saturday 9th at 12.15pm with the fourth-v-fifth game switching to the Friday.

The second leg would also move from Friday 15th (KO 7.45pm) to Saturday 16th (KO 12.15pm) with the fourth-fifth game reverting to the Friday.

If Town and Norwich don’t meet and Watford finish third and Wolves sixth, Friday and Saturday second leg ties will also be switched.

The final at Wembley will be played on Monday 25th May, kicking off at 3pm.

Following last night's 1-0 home defeat to Middlesbrough, the Canaries are currently fourth, while the Blues go into today's match at Wolves in sixth.

Let's hope we avoid them then, could do without 12.15 kick offs.

Why would any of us want to meet Norwich , any other side would be better as they lose all their main loan players. Which if you look would be at least 3 main 1st team players. Personally i would rather face boro or watford or derby ,rather than a norwich side full of permanent players. Derby no ince or bent ,boro no bamford etc ,watford 2 defenders and a mid can't remember their names. So lets avoid Norwich as if we don't i fear huge disappointment, anyway lets get today out of the way first and hope for 3 points ,although its going to be incredibly tough to get anything from this game. Wolves tempo in the first 30 mins should shape the game ,they without doubt will be going for the jugular ,the ball over the top of berra is our weak spot ,i.e. all communication with bartz then fails ,i expect to see them try that one on a number of occasions ,can smith be switched on to sweep round and cover ,same for kings ,he needs to wake up and be totally alert to the dangers.

Not sure my nerves could cope with them in the playoffs tbh. I'd rather they went up automatically... there, I said it!

Agree Bluefeast with your comments but i have a feeling next time we Meet Norwich town fans will be celebrating it was Micks tactics which defeated us the players are capable to put one over them,,also Naaaaaaaaarwich supporters are discounting us as an easiest play off win.

BE CAREFUL of what you wish for.

Excuse the ignorance, but why is Wolves v Watford considered as much of a risk as us v Norwich?

Uefa- when watford played at wolves recently. A watford fan was beaten into a coma. I presume this would be the reason.
