Stewart Discharged From Hospital
Monday, 18th Jan 2016 09:32

On-loan Town winger Cameron Stewart was taken to hospital after a collision with Gillingham’s Jermaine McGlashan during Doncaster’s 2-2 home draw with the Gills on Saturday but was later discharged suffering with whiplash.

Stewart, who has extended his loan with Rovers until the end of the season, landed on his head after the pair had challenged for the ball in the 86th minute and was taken straight to hospital.

Earlier, the 24-year-old, a 49th minute sub, had scored Doncaster’s first goal from a 75th minute freekick as they came from two goals behind to claim a point.

Elsewhere, Josh Yorwerth was an unused sub as Crawley lost 1-0 at home to Notts County. The central defender was back in the League Two side’s 18 having been out with a hamstring injury.

Blues keeper Michael Crowe made his debut for Braintree as they were beaten 1-0 at Stourbridge in the FA Trophy on Saturday.

The lad seems to know how to take a set piece.... can't we just sub him on for corners?

2nd free kick he has scored for Donny. Our free kick set pieces are terrible. I know Fraser scored against Pompey, but can't remember the last time we actually scored direct from a free kick.

We haven't had a decent taker of free kicks since Cresswell. You'd think with all the time footballers have on their hands they would practice during the week like Beckham used to do - it's not like they have anything else to do.
Right now I'd settle for decent corners that beat the first man but don't go straight to the 'keeper.
