Trialist Morphew Back in Action
Saturday, 12th Mar 2016 20:09

Blues trialist Keiran Morphew was back in action as his Needham Market side beat Merstham 1-0 in the Ryman League Premier Division this afternoon and is now set to spend his week training with the Blues’ first team.

The 22-year-old put in a man of the match performance and came through the game unscathed.

The defender or midfielder was due to join up with Town for a week last month but a couple of days before he was set to link-up with the Blues suffered a groin injury which forced its postponement.

Morphew, who greatly impressed Town boss Mick McCarthy with his performance in the recent 1-0 U21s victory over QPR, was given use the Blues’ facilities during his rehab.

To be honest, I know nothing about Morphew. Any thoughts?

Brilliant news, he is class, can read a game and can defend and pass from the back.

I was at the game and to be honest I didn't know he was playing but the defence in general were very solid so no surprise he was voted man of the match

He won't make it, played against and with him. Not good enough...
