Thursday, 14th Apr 2016 13:04

Ben Morris scored a hat-trick, Conor McKendry a brace and Kundai Benyu a penalty as Town’s U18s thrashed Cardiff City 6-0 at Playford Road this morning.

The young Blues, who face QPR at Playford Road on Saturday morning (KO 11am), were 4-0 up at half-time with Morris - who has now scored 20 times this season - netting all his goals before the break.

Again involved was trialist Pat Webber from Ryman League Premier Division Worthing. Defender Webber is the son of Damien Webber, who played for Mick McCarthy's Millwall in the early nineties.

U18s: Hayes, Woolfenden, Webber (Cathline 80), Downes, Fowler, C Smith, Nydam (Jones 70), Benyu, McKendry, Morris (Daniels 70), Meldrum.

At least the youth teams are looking good . Be nice if we keep them and don't sell off the most promising so we cold have a bright future .
