Cardiff City and Birmingham City are reportedly keen on Town striker David McGoldrick, whose Blues contract is up at the end of the season.

According to The Sun, Bluebirds boss Neil Warnock wants the 30-year-old as he looks to boost his side's promotion aspirations, while Midlanders’ manager Steve Cotterill is also said to be interested as his club battles relegation.

It’s claimed Town might be tempted by a small fee for McGoldrick, whose deal is up in the summer with his terms not including an option for the club to keep him for a further year.

What he does then is up to him. It seems clear that he does not want to commit his future to us but we need him for the remainder of this season.
