Cardiff and Birmingham Linked With McGoldrick
Thursday, 4th Jan 2018 12:50

Cardiff City and Birmingham City are reportedly keen on Town striker David McGoldrick, whose Blues contract is up at the end of the season.

According to The Sun, Bluebirds boss Neil Warnock wants the 30-year-old as he looks to boost his side's promotion aspirations, while Midlanders’ manager Steve Cotterill is also said to be interested as his club battles relegation.

It’s claimed Town might be tempted by a small fee for McGoldrick, whose deal is up in the summer with his terms not including an option for the club to keep him for a further year.

Not too sad, but I'd prefer him to stay.

if MgG leaves it means the top six dream is officially over, then what is the point of Big Mick McCarthy? Sack him and get the new man in asap.

Football is a business/sport that defies all logic. It seems highly possible that David McGoldrick will leave the club this month and bring in less money than Keiffer Moore.
Unbelievable.

Best player at the club, must get a decent fee or re-sign!

In our situation with injuries etc it beggars belief that there are even rumours about this. McGoldie is still under contract until the end of the season. What he does then is up to him. It seems clear that he does not want to commit his future to us but we need him for the remainder of this season.
