Friday, 25th Jan 2019 14:27

Fans attending Ipswich Town Women’s match against Cambridge United WFC at Felixstowe & Walton’s Goldstar Ground on Sunday will be asked to make a donation to The Beat Goes On, the campaign raising funds for the Kevin Beattie statue (KO 2pm).

Entry to the FA Women’s National League fixture is via a donation with all proceeds, and also those from a 50/50 draw, going to the fund.

Led by the EADT and Ipswich Star in conjunction with BBC Radio Suffolk and TWTDThe Beat Goes On was launched last month.

Donations can be made online via the Go Fund Me page or send a cheque made payable to ‘The Beat Goes On’ to Kevin Beattie Statue Appeal, EADT, Portman House, 120 Princes Street, Ipswich, IP11RS.

There are also collection buckets at reception at the EADT’s offices and at BBC Radio Suffolk.

Superbob....it's a fans tribute to Kevin, that's why, would be great if the fans achieve it without help from the club.

If every Town fan donated a quid this would be paid for already.... seems many of those who give the owner stick for not putting his hand in his pocket don't like putting their hand in their either....pots and kettles
