Rio Oudnie-Morgan hit his second hat-trick in two games as Town’s U18s thrashed non-league Aveley 9-0 in the first round of the FA Youth Cup.

Northern Ireland U19 international Oudnie-Morgan, who grabbed a treble in the 5-0 Professional Development League Two South victory against Swansea just over a week ago, gave the Blues the lead in the 11th minute via a deflected strike.

Soon afterwards, Gerrard Buabo, who made his senior debut in the Papa Johns Trophy tie against Arsenal’s U21s, added the second.

Nico Valentine added the third and Oudnie-Morgan grabbed Town’s fourth and his second before Buabo netted his second to make it 5-0 just before the break.

In the second half, sub Finlay Corrigan made it six on 76 before Oudnie-Morgan completed his hat-trick.

Tom Taylor bagged the eighth in the 86th minute, then Finn Barbrook made it 9-0 in the final minute.

A great start for the Town youngsters, Aveley are a very decent EJA side, but that's a resounding result.
