Sylvain Legwinski's third goal in as many games in the first minute helped the Blues to a 1-1 draw at Plymouth. Jim Magilton's side were rarely at their best and ended with game with 10 men as Fabian Wilnis became the first player to receive three red cards while playing for Town.

Reading right-back John Halls is close to signing a one-month loan with the Blues, according to national newspaper reports this morning. Halls, 24, is out of favour at the Madejski Stadium and was watched by Jim Magilton making a rare appearance in the Royals' Carling Cup tie at Liverpool last week.

Town could be facing opposition from Wolves boss Mick McCarthy for the signature of former Blue Tommy Miller. The midfielder looks set to leave Sunderland with Portman Road his expected destination in January, but ex-Sunderland manager McCarthy is now thought to have joined George Burley's Southampton in targeting the 27-year-old.
