Your Ipswich Town v Cheltenham Town Match Reports

Blimey! Some pretty low ratings at the moment for a team that played some excellent football first half and good football in the second. We were never going to win every match. Keep the faith.

Frustrating result!! We dominated first half and really needed to score then. Quite a few good chances but not enough troubled the keeper. Cheltenham managed to frustrate Town in second half and saw more of the game and created a couple of decent chances at the end. I think we needed Bonne or Piggott up front from the start with Jackson on one side. Celina had a really good first half but was less effective in second half. Wolfenden gets my MOM. Dominant display at the back and good distribution and one good header that went just wide.

Tom Carroll is a real find. Love watching players as good as him. But how did we not score? It was easier to score than miss about five times!!

They're not draw specialists for nothing! Most disappointed with our attack as neither Chaplin nor Celina got anywhere near a goal and Burns was far to loose with his strikes. KJ was asking for support but none of the team were prepared to look up but instead played it sideways.
I dare say this wont be the last time we struggle but I do wish that KM would try out some of or free scoring players in U23.

Now is the tiem to start making our own luck. Everything was perfect except for the final offering. It could have been 5-0 and nobody would have complained. The legs became weary later in the second half after three games in just over a week. Evans was definitely missed in the set up. Carrol iss not alternative. May didnt score four this time out. Cheltenham put the shutters up and rode their luck.

Interesting how people see things so differently. I too thought Carroll was excellent first half, he and Morsy are different class in there together when they move the ball on first time. Shame they all ran out of Puff.

Im glad the Referee got a good mark, best one ive seen down here for ages, wasn't fooled by diving, didnt give anything and everything like the pillock saturday and added almost 9 minutes on in teh end 2nd half when CT were rolling around dead.

Sometimes I think we see one mistake by a player and thats it, shame......
