| Forum Thread | reissued FISONS shirt from 89-92 (L) £40 at 15:10 24 Apr 2024
I bought the wrong size, but only realised after I'd worn it once. So I've got a Large 89-92 FISONS shirt that has been worn and washed once. £40 and it's yours and I'll pay the postage. Thanks The last game of that 91/92 season was glorious...stood politely on the apron of the pitch from about the 85th minute, inches behind the white line, just waiting for the ref to blow the whistle, which he did when he got near the tunnel. Take me back to those days....i wonder what Alf Buksh is up to these days, he always did us favours....and the rocker with the leather jacket and ponytail who always used to help the groundstaff repair any divots on the turf at half time - never had any idea who he was but every half time I'd turn to my Dad and say "there's old 'ponytail' again". |

| Forum Thread | Car share from Cambridge? at 16:41 18 Aug 2023
Hello All, I am hoping that someone may fancy car-sharing from Cambridge to Ipswich? I don't have a car to share but I would be more than happy to pay more than my fair share of the cost of fuel. I rely on the trains, which scuppered a number of matches last year due to train strikes, and I'm almost certain there will be as many strikes this season. If anyone is able to help out (either regularly for home games, or just when there is a train strike?) I'd be ever so grateful. My conversation probably isn't the most interesting as I work in finance for the University, but I do have 30 years of watching Town to talk about, so swings and roundabouts I guess. Thanks all in advance, Daniel |

Yep, I did think that. I also wondered if I could walk in to the ground on the full time whistle when the doors are opened? I'll try anything to be honest. Thanks for your reply, much appreciated. |

I know this is a pointless exercise, but I am after 1 solitary ticket for Exeter on Saturday. I was away when the tickets went on sale. Been waiting for a pitch invasion since 2015, so I can discretely scatter my Dad's ashes on the pitch through a hole in my trouser pocket, like in The Great Escape (I am totally serious). I know the pitch is being dug up at the end of the season, but it's the thought that counts, and it's all ceremonial anyway isn't it. Absolutely gutted, I had one job, and I f-ed it up. Sorry Dad. |
| Forum Thread | football pitch forker from the 90's.... at 22:14 11 Oct 2022
When I was taken to PR as a child, in the early 90's I remember at EVERY home match there was a man who would walk around the pitch at half time forking any divots in the turf. Denim trousers. Long hair. Leather jacket. Rocker. The personification of cool. Bring back the pitch-forkers. |
| Forum Thread | ITFC programmes 1987 - 2000ish at 20:49 19 Jun 2021
I've been sorting out the loft and have a pile of about 50 Town programmes, dating from 1987-2000ish. There are some duplicates in there, but i just want to get rid of them in one hit. They are a fantastic trip down memory lane. If anyone wants them and lives near Cambridge, let me know. Cheers. |

"OO OO JUNGLE BOY, OO OO JUNGLE BOY" (Ray Crawford) I remember my dad and his mate used to call each other Jungle Boy...I can confirm that it is no longer acceptable to shout JUNGLE BOY across a busy pub.... |

You reckon he stands to make billions out of shorting ITFC and then running us into the ground.....like Boris et al are doing with the country? |

ha ha ha so as long as two people agree they are fine with what they are being called, it's absolutely fine to call them anything under the sun, and it matters not who hears or sees that? [Post edited 4 Jan 2021 17:56]

Avoid them like the plague. My mum (lives in Cambridge) ended up taking them to court after they refused to finish building her porch until she signed up for them to replace the rest of the windows in her house. They basically plonked themselves down in her living room and refused to leave until she signed a contract. Reported them to trading standards and....they already had an investigation into them underway...so we fed into that. Ended up having to get a new builder in to clean up the mess, he was none too complimentary as to how they approached it. Absolute carnage, ended up taking it down to the 3ft brinckwork and starting again. Good luck if you do decide to use them. |
