Overall bad performance, but it's not as bad as some people are making out. We didn't lose, and had two great chances to win the game with Priskin's offside goal and the goalmouth scramble.
To those who think this is irrelevant because of the oppisition, may I remind you Pablo played aswell and didn't exactly set the pitch ablaze. Does that mean he's not good enough for the 1st team now too?
When Garvan played bad he got dropped from the squad all together. When Trotter played even worse he was kept in the team, as was Balkestein, McAuley, Walters and many others.
Quite simply double standards by Keane, he's well capable of still putting in the kind of performances he did against Chelsea earlier in the year, like he had been doing consistently over the past few years for the Town, yet Keane is treating this situation with just plain ignorance.
We finished just outside the play-offs with Garvan as a regular in the team, we're in the relegation zone with him out of the team. Now by no means is he the ultimate reason we're struggling but I think the lack of creativity is definitly a main factor and Garvan is a creative player.
He's better than Trotter and better than Healy.
It's just plain ignorance by Keane that's keeping him out of the squad, eat some humble pie and give the lad the chance he deserves.
Not at all, im not one to come on here to randomly stir a fuss and claim I have 'sources within the club' to try and get respect from a keyboard and all that rubbish. It's mereley what I was told, so thought i'd share, probably rubbish though.
Been told by my mate this evening, who's uncle is kit man at the club, that Keano has two weeks to save his job and Shearer is being lined up as a possible replacement. Have no idea if there's any truth in it but not too sure if that would be a smart move taking another inexperienced manager on board even though it would give the players a much needed morale boost.
Begovic to McAuley, long ball to Walters, Walters loses it. Begovic to McAuley, long ball to Walters, Walters loses it. Begovic to McAuley, long ball to Walters, Walters loses it. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ ...
Time to eat some humble pie and get Garvan back in along side Leadbitter to add some calmness to our play. Trotter simply isn't good enough, yet he starts every week. I really don't get it.
Bring Garvan back Keano, he's twice the player Trotter is and a few bad games do not make him a bad player. As appealing as it may sound to ruin the town career of another good prospect, along with Rhodes. The lad has talent, and is better than a load of the wasters we are playing out there right now.
Or even better just go, and take your signings back with you, i'll even pay for the flight back to Ireland.
Good decision, didn't exactly have age on his side and has made two shambolic errors in the same amount of games, along with a whole load last season. Shame we couldn't offload him to Boro in the transfer window really.
