Kundai Benyu – The Golden Shot?
at 20:28:15

Hi Mullet, cheers for that. From the couple of games I've seen although he's quite slight he's not easily brushed off the ball. He had a test against Dover with their man marking in the first half and came through it with flying colours. Dover did the full in your face press on him especially in the first half and he always looked like he had all the time in the world when he had the ball. One of his strengths is running at pace straight at defenders and they don't like that at any level of the game. Be interesting to see how he will get on at a higher level.

With a decent pre-season I'm hopeful he can really make a push for a first team place although I wouldn't be surprised if MM tries to farm him out on loan to a League 1 team.

Mensah was an interesting one. He and Benny really seem to have developed a good understanding and I wouldn't be surprised if a league side picked him up in the summer.

This Season Has Been A Serious Breath Of Fresh Air — Notes for Fulham
at 08:50:10

Cheers Harry, a great read as usual. I thoroughly enjoy reading all of your "Notes" from our opposition so thanks for putting so much time and effort into your reports.

Just wonder if Matt Smith might be someone we might look at as a Murphy replacement if he's going to be made available? Good in the air, can hold play up and can also do a defensive job at set-pieces which might appeal to MM.

Anyway thanks again Harry and have a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

McCarthy: A Real Horrible Game
at 07:35:20

“We'll analyse it and have a look at it and see what's gone wrong, and see why we've found it difficult to win at home.”

I'd suggest setting up with 2 or 3 defensive midfielders may explain why we're finding it difficult to win at home...

@pip50 Bournemouth spent £3.3m last season & a further £3.5m this season. How much have we spent in that time?

Clegg: Exciting Times Ahead for Town
at 07:10:50

I think 73 players signed in 4 years says it all. Hardly conducive to a being able to build a settled side and its little wonder we've struggled due to poor decisions from the managers in charge during Mr Clegg's time here. Still, as he says, its easy with the benefit of hindsight.

Good luck to Simon in his future endeavours and thanks for all your hard work at ITFC. Hopefully he's right and better times are ahead because these last 5 years have been painful!

Jewell Considering Changes Against Old Club

"It is also one defeat in six. That builds confidence, as does the fact we are scoring late goals."

Oh great.....its not like we tend to concede many at the end of games

Jewell Staying Patient as He Searches for Right Central Defender

“It's about being strong and about saying to people who think they know better ‘Look, I've got to try and get the [right] centre-half in'.

That'll be aimed at a section of posters on here then...they are always right!

Town and Celtic Set for Murphy Talks
at 01:13:50

Excellent inciteful comment from braveblue....so typical of so called fans that don't go to games.

Murphy is a quality player and will continue to do well next season if we manage to secure his signature on a longer term.

There are so many idiots that comment on the news comment its frightening!!!

And how exactly do you know that for certain bluey123? Are you the club accountant? I'd guess not as you can't seem to put a comma or . anywhere in your post.

Stick to playing FM as that's probably where you got your figures from!

No Summer Slacking for Blues

Walberswick, do you actually call yourself a supporter of ITFC?

If so, why on earth do you feel the need to constantly snipe at every news story? The club really doesn't need your sort of "support" so please, do us all a favour and go away!

Town Boss Sounding Out Potential Targets
at 08:01:01

Guess we can more than likely say goodbye to Pearce if Burnley are linked to him. Players seem to prefer to work with their old managers and I think if he wanted to come here he'd already be playing for us.

Time to move on the the next target...

Jewell: Win Was Deserved
at 09:07:15

Garv, how disgusted would you have been if we went for 2-0 and they caught us on a quick break to equalise? Knowing how many times we've conceded at the death of games I'd say it was a professional way to see out the game.

Still, guess some people always have to find something to moan about.

Jewell Delighted to Be On Right End of Last Gasp Winner
at 20:09:34

Decent win again and nice to get a last minute winner for a change! For all the doom & gloom merchants on here saying how poor Coventry are, is that the same Coventry that have won their last 3 home games beating Brighton and Boro in the process???

Interesting to note that 3 hours after the game there are 35 comments whereas whenever we lose there are anything up to 150 comments!

Some people really aren't happy unless they have something to whinge about!

Two Changes for Town
at 21:55:21

Guess we won't be hearing from casanovacrow, fourth et al this evening. Won't be long before they're back and spouting off all their negative rubbish.

Massive confidence boost for the boys and now we just need to build on this in the next few games. A win at Coventry would give a little breathing space.

Jewell: Lack of Confidence and Poor Defending Let Blackpool Back In
at 20:35:52

tractorboybig - the spelling is lemming you numpty and I'm always positive and support ITFC no matter who is manager/CEO/owner unlike you. Must be dreadful to only be happy sitting on a computer whinging about games you never go to!

No doubt if we ever do end up in the Blue Square you'll still be on here spouting your 2 or 3 line vitriol. I'll still be going to the games not being a keyboard warrior.

Either support ITFC or better still, lend your "support" to the boys in yellow up the road. I'm sure they'll welcome your views with open arms...
