“Liverpool”.
“Didn’t know that you were a scouser?”
“I’m not but they are my team.”

It’s a great read and Rod Liddell devotes his football column, also in the Times, to the Championship. When we were relegated to the Championship, all those years ago, I noticed how we disappeared from national newspapers. You had a real feeling of how we no longer meant anything. Now that we’re back we can pick up any paper and read about ITFC. Oh and MOTD… |

I first watched ITFC when I was 10. I followed them solidly from the early 70s onwards. I cried on the steps of Wembley in 78 (something that I hadn’t done at my wedding or children’s births). I travelled to see us win the EUFA Cup with 10,000 others. I stopped watching at Portman Rd. in the Keane era. I bought a season ticket three years ago. Yes, I’m a returner and my support is equa to anyone’s. |

In the great Robson era, Cooper invariably rolled the ball out. In fact, we would have a bet on how many times he would kick it long. You lost if you bet more than twice. I am talking Muhren /Thijssen in midfield. Prior to them, we were long ball, route one. I think that it is great how we have bought into our out-from-the-back style. 40 years waiting to see football like this again. |

Am I the only one struggling to book the QPR match on Town TV? It took ages to get a confirmation email and when I click on it the site just says to get a confirmation email! |
