Great news for the club & thoroughly deserved. Europablue I agree with you it is ridiculous that the season awards were made weeks before the end of the season, Chaplin should have got player of the season & to be fair I think Schumacher would have deserved the manager award what he has done at Plymouth is pretty amazing with the resources available. I really am trying to stay positive & to believe that McKenna is the man for the job but some questions I have are:
1. Why oh why keep making so many changes each game, play a settled side
2. Why keep playing the same system if it doesn't work? What do they say is the definition of stupidity?
3. I think Kieron might need some help maybe someone like Burley to give him some support.
4. Spent so much I think nearly £4m and we cannot beat teams.
5. Would like to hear from Ashton I can recall any recent interviews from him.
I don't want to be critical but we are struggling to make the play offs now, If we end up 7th or below I do think Kieron is gone the new owners are not going to wait. I do think he has the potential but he really needs some help.
Well positive thoughts we absolutely have to win Saturday coyb let's do it.

On a positive not there are not many teams that can come back from two nil down against Sheffield Wednesday which just proves the team can do it & match the best in this league. However, the defence does need sorting I don't know about anyone else but whenever there is a chance for the opposition to cross the ball into our box I feel myself getting nervous whether it's from a set piece or open play. Kieron needs to get a grip of this & I do still have confidence he is the man for us. 16 games to go if we get on a run we could still get automatic promotion but that run has to start now. The problem against Charlton was poor game management in the last 3 mins of the game, in this game the management was spot on we let them tire themselves out and then took advantage. Burns showed his class could have taken the shot himself but thought of the team to pass to Camara for the tap in. |

At the beginning of this season I was so full of hope after the takeover, I really thought that Cook was the man for the job. However despite all the player changes we have got worse we take the lead in a game & you just know the opposition will score shortly afterwards so something is wrong with the tactics & the team ethos. Cook just isn't right without his number 2.
So I think Ashton needs to step in & either insist he has an experienced number 2 or he leaves & we get in either Eddie Howe or Chris Wilder in. |
