Match Abandoned
at 16:52:14

I'm assuming that our excellent editor will be removing MoscowBluesSon's use of casually anti-semitic language a.s.a.p.

New Signing in No Doubt Town Can Climb the Table
at 10:28:48

Well, he certainly has the right attitude — hopefully he's got the skills to match! He'll do well to oust Drury or Hyam in the near future though as they've been excellent for the last couple of games.

Crewe Bid Reportedly Turned Down
at 00:12:08

Even if this rumour is true, it is hugely unlikely that Town have bid £2million in cash. It is far more plausible that the bid was up to a potential value of £2million — i.e. it involved a series of clauses based on appearances, future sell-on fees and/or promotion to the Premiership within a certain timeframe. It is also an unfortunate situation that whilst Marcus Evans' money has stabilised our club, the fact that he is an enormously wealthy man means that selling clubs will always hold out for more money from Ipswich, hence the purchasing negotiations become more protracted. And, just while I'm on the subject, I would also like to point out to some of the people who post on here that not every player under the age of 25 currently plying his trade in League One or Two is necessarily "young and hungry". Some of them are what are commonly referred to as "not good enough to play at a higher level" (hence why they are at their current clubs).

Jewell Embroiled in Sexism Storm
at 14:04:09

Within context, Paul Jewell's comments were clearly not sexist. What is far more pertinent is that the BBC gave a forum to Alan Leighton, "head of referee's union Prospect", to make ill-informed and damaging accusations live on national radio. That was absolutely outrageous — if Alan Leighton "head of referee's union Prospect" was of the opinion that one of his members had suffered a case of sexism within the workplace, then he should pursue it through the channels established by his union, not via mud-slinging in the media. Jewell should be seeking legal advice over Leighton's comments and the members that Leighton represent should be questioning his ability and judgement for the role he currently occupies. Leighton out!
