Why don't we just publish a list of the players we are "eyeing", being linked with, or are having scouts watched. This will achieve the objectives of increasing competion for the player and increasing the transfer fee. Ultimately, we'll sign fewer players tham we might have done and payed more money for them. It's time for ITFC to stop bradcasting who they fancy and get their act together and go and do some deals. |

This is an extremely stupid clause. A 2 year contract with an optional extra year if the player wants it = a 3 year contract. Surely the extra year should only come into effect if both parties agree. In that case we could get someone else instead who wants to play for ITFC and not TEAM Edwards. |

Well done Pj, the best way to get a look at players at the fag end of a season is to send them out on loan. Yes they need games but why not try them in our first team, then you might really find something out. I can see a quite few youngsters going to be replaced by some "experienced pro's" . Pity, especially as our scouts couldn't spot a donkey form a race horse. |

At some point we are going to have to invest in a squad of football players that represent the managers ambition. We haven't got 5 players that Paul jewell can feel confident in. So we will need about 12 quality/ very good prospects players in pronto. We won't be able to wait until August and realise we haven't signed Chopra and we have to buy anyone that will sign for us. This is a massive challege and will require a totally new approach to getting players to sign for us. At least it looks like Jewell has some ideas and flexibility in who he would want to bring in amd can actually make a descision. We need action and cash and we need to spend it at the start of the transfer window. |
