| News Comment | O'Neill: My Phone Has Been Constantly Ringing at 14:12:57
Why should he? He invests heavily every season to keep them afloat, he should be setting them up so when he is gone the club is self sustaining, with the highest possible quality youth set up, training facilities and scouting networks as well as good international networks in terms of global branding. Unfortunately it seems it's taken guidance from Lambert to get any of those elements going |
| News Comment | Huws Feeling More Confident in His Fitness at 11:16:59
This is my frustration at "rotating " after a good performance at vs Wycombe, there should be no doubt he starts the next game, he then has to fight to keep his place, dozzer, nolan, skuse etc have to fight to take his place and therefore improved performances, if you know you will get dropped or conversely get a chance in 2 to 3 weeks come what may, why bother?? |
| News Comment | Lambert: The Good Teams Always Bounce Back at 20:01:05
We've been playing with 10 men every time Judge has played this season and it's only been the outstanding KVY and our solid back 4 that's hidden that. Today was awful, 10 yards too deep from the off, no spark going forward and Jayden was dire, and as early as the first 20mins his body language was awful (you'd think he'd be bang up for his old club). Still move on, beat Rotherham and all will be forgotten |
| News Comment | Lambert: Hughes and Other Youngsters Have Got a Chance But Have a Long Way to Go at 21:09:43
Think there are 2 distinct groups of Kids, the odd one or two who come in and make it impossible not to keep them in....we have not had one of them for a while... then you have what we have, lots of very good young players who if given time and opportunity, will grow into the team and then flourish...... pretty sure if El Miz, Dobra or any other player had torn up the Gills, they would be nearer or in the first team, but they stay steady |
| News Comment | Jackson: We'll Work Well as a Pair at 18:06:48
4312 looks like way forward, judge behind these two, 3 cm, that allows two very attacking full backs...3 would probably be skuse, downes and nolan when all fit... |
| News Comment | Trialist Wilson Set to Sign at 17:08:50
Feels like a bit of an over reaction in here....Chambo will be solid in this league, Toto too, Wofie needs the space to grow that if we bring in a "steller" (like we could get that at present) CB will block his growth. Like anyone, I love to see us sign players, but last summer we signed lots and look what happened, we now have a clean slate to build |
| News Comment | Lambert: Really Pleased With the Lads in Training at 12:49:16
I genuinely think that Hurst made some good signings, but did leave us hugely exposed with the number of players with little championship experience. Add to that his apparent inability to stick to his principles in terms of formation and selection, and the outcome was inevitable. If PL adds a couple of experienced championship campaigners to the current crop, and starts to build a style, formation god forbid an identity, he really could turn in around |
| News Comment | Town Linked With Dutch Midfielder at 21:31:38
I love the "fans" of this club. If no rumors come out of the club, they are unhappy, if rumors do come up, its the first of many and they complain about that too. |
| News Comment | McCarthy: Progress of Young Full-Backs a Positive at 22:21:55
Potenitally Smith, Emmanual, Kenlock, Hyam, Bishop, Dozzell in the first team, half a team made up of Academy Grads + a few other on the periphery, Blanchard, McDonnall, Benyu, Morris, Gotta be looking good for the future. |
| News Comment | McCarthy Has No Intention of Walking Away and Plans to Build Again at Town at 22:35:39
One of the problems this season has been the loss of Murphy and the goals he provided for sure. But with his loss, we had to change the style too. We've played slightly more football this season and the squad has not been good enough to do it well. With the additions of Huws and Toumani it has improved slightly, and if as expected Williams comes to us next season, then we have the makings of a much better footballing side. But its at the back where i really worry for us. Berra and Chambo are past their best, Smith is a donkey, and while he bleeds blue, he is not a quality defender, which leaves Webster, who i fear could be pinched. Add to that Skuse in front of them, who again is apst his best and thata major re-building. I just hope thats its re-building with @football@ intended rather that finding a new lump upfront. |
| News Comment | McCarthy: Dozzell Would Have Played More in a Better Team at 17:04:45
Or we could bring him in and improve the team.... simple psychology, if players feel like there is pressure on for their spot, performances improve. For too long, Skuse, Berra, Chambo etc have been un-movable, so why should they perform |
| News Comment | Bishop and Rowe on Target as U23s Beat Millwall at 21:48:29
Would love to see them move through the youth coaches and given them a shot. People who know the place and the players and have a vested interest in not only the first team but the club as a whole |
