meekreech - I happen to agree. He has never shown anything that stands out and I wonder if his 'history' with Paul Cook is the only reason he is still there. Although our recruitment drive has been pretty bloody good on paper there does seem to be a theme with most players that they have worked with PC in the past. Whether that's a good thing or not we wait and see. In terms of Downes it looks unlikely that whatever has broken that relationship will not be forgiven, but last season he was the only player that really stood out consistently so its a shame. |

An attacking right back/wing back that's not afraid to take players on and have shots at goal. Perfect. Let's hope this acts as a bit of a carrot on a stick for other signings coming in that will be able to see the bigger picture ahead and most importantly, want to be part of that building process. |

One of the most boring games of football I have seen. I was feeling quite upbeat after February - Now it seems to be back to script with MM setting up his team to basically defend all game. Wolves were poor and there for the taking and the amount of efforts we had on goal really sums up. I for one like the system with five at the back IF the wingbacks actually try and go past the half way line once in a while. Also why the hell was Lawrence playing up front? He is much more of a weapon playing off the front two. Why did the substitutions take so long? When we did make one it was the wrong player - Pitman / Sears? |
