| News Comment | Bullard Still Very Much in First Team Plans at 06:45:22
@Mr_Evans. Agreed. I think he can still pull another good season out of the bag. It's up to him, really. If the determination is there, he can be a key player again for us. |

This will be a good addition for depth at CB and LB. Just hoping the Cressy interest cools, and looks like our defence is sorted! Now for a big powerful forward and possibly a wide player. Good vibes for the upcoming season! |

6 mil and he is gone, but I can't see Villa paying that for a player with one season in the Champ. On a positive note, Cressy seems like a grounded character, so if he does stay (fingers crossed), I don't think this attention will affect his focus and determination. |

This will be pathetic if management cash in on Cresswell at first opportunity. At the very least, give him a couple more seasons to continue his development (of course, preferably, we keep him long term). If this club isn't willing to hang on to one of our key players for more than a season, serious questions have to be asked. |

@BlueBadger We need Martin in midfield. I think this will be a key season for him if he can build on last. He has finally been given a role he excels at, so why would anyone want to throw him at left-back where his dangerous tackling would be a liability for the team? Keeping Cressy here long-term is key to building this team. |

Right, a real test of the ambition of our club's management. PJ better be fighting against this, as signing Cressy is one of the best things he has done in his tenure, and the player is clearly key to the club building and pushing for promotion. @BlueBadger, sorry but I think that scenario would be a disaster. Yes, Martin has good work ethic and will throw himself into a tackle, but that doesn't mean he is good at it (I can remember a few wild challenges and a few red cards to go along). We need Martin playing behind Chops, where his skill is utilized. F off Lambert. |
