Hdlaky did exactly that at Preston earlier in the season.
As long as the keeper's is considered to make a valid attempt to "play" the ball, he could use his hands according to the Laws. Obviously Pears wasn't thinking that.
I hope this doesn't mean Mogga's condition is worse than originally stated. Obviously Brum and Mogga would know, but I hope this isn't the start of the unravelling that something is seriously wrong.
