We def have the best squad in the League from what I have seen. I can't think of an opposition player that has been better than anything in our squad. The problem is we simply haven't played well from day one of the season. Won a lot of games early on but all by fine margins where all the luck went our way. Seems we have used all our luck up and now losing games we were winning. I like Paul Lambert and he has done wonders off the pitch. However, performances are no better and at some point, we will have to consider if he is the right man to get us to be an established Championship Team again. Can't see any justification for having a go at Evans. He has backed Lambert this year. There are no excuses. |

So angry Warktheline. If it is a results business, why were you so adamant McCarthy be sacked? You are a huge critic of Evans under investment but McCarthy kept us in the Championship. Your arguments don't stack up. Lambert has not done any better than Hurst be anyone can see he really appreciates the supporters and the club. Most are more positive. We are down but 5000 in the north stand stood with the players at the end. I know you care massively about the club. Use your passion with the 5000 and help get the club up next year. |

Warktheline, you are a miserable sod. Never happy. Never positive. Part of being a fan is the way we convince ourselves to be optimistic when we know all logic says we will lose. Otherwise, we would never bother going to games. If I remember right, you were one of McCarthys biggest critics. He has gone and we are bottom. However, the crowds are up on last year, there is a real connection between the fans and the team and the atmosphere has been far better than at any point last year. Yet you are still angry and lashing out at proper supporters who want to think the cup is half full. Have a look at yourself mate and lighten up. |

Proud to be a Town fan today. 17000 in the ground. Great support and noise despite another pretty mediocre performance and seeing the whole of the North Stand singing'Ipswich til I die' at the end brings a lump to my throat as I type now. Well done all. Let's hope for better things next season. With support like that, I am very optimistic. |

Itfc73 - ‘strung up to a lamp post'. Shocking comments. I didn't go to Brentford. Saw the highlights and saw Chambers losing it a couple of times showing he cares. Also saw us miss 2 great chances and a terrible error for the second goal. But your focus is on Chambers? I have been to every home game this year and last. Chambers has had some good games. He has had some poor games. Just like every Town player this year. I truly don't understand why proper fans like yourself obsess on him so much. And none of his fiercest critics have explained why each recent manager always plays him. Marcus, get these guys in as managers. Will save a tonne of money! |

It's sad really. In a time where we all moan about players being mercenaries with no loyalty, true Town fans turn on a true blue like Chambers. Do you really think he is to blame for us being in the position we are? Yes, he has made mistakes but some seize on these but are far more forgiving on others. The man has played on through all sorts of injuries for the club and always given 100%. It saddens me to see real fans turn on him the way they do. I'd have him in the trenches with me over many others that have worn our shirt.

Brilliant crowd and atmosphere. Superb defending. Lots of fight and passion. Just short on quality. So pleased with the win but we have to be honest, Rotherham are a poor side and they dominated the second half. I agree Raycrawford. Just throwing good money after bad. Lambert saying keep the faith but for me, we had to win today to have a chance. Morison completely changed the game. Kenlock didn't get near him and Morison won every header. Exactly the type of player we are desperate for. Always have to find a positive, great first goal and Harrison getting better each week. So pointless having a go at Evans. No one wants to buy the club. Would anyone here invest? He keeps the club going, if he walks away, no ITFC. Would love a billionaire who treats the club as a hobby but there aren't enough to go round sadly. |

Re Chambers, perhaps he keeps playing because highly paid professional managers think he is the best man for the position. As you say, McCarthy has gone. But Hurst and Lambert both had him first choice. And a lot of fans including me rate him as a decent Championship defender. |
